Chibiusa reads about a historical attraction in Japan called Kimi Iwasaki in her mother's research notes. When the girls arrive there, they spy a man with a treasure map. They tail him all the way to Azabujuban overhearing him mumbling about the treasure map's word puzzles. The man, whose name is Lupin III, happens to be on a treasure hunt in order to obtain some money from his girlfriend. Chibiusa decides to help him for a fee and they all pitch in to solve the puzzles. The treasure hunt takes them all over the country and it makes them all appreciate the wonderful attractions of Japan.

Now Lupin and the Liberators must work together to solve the mystery of the treasure and bring an end to the Acolytes plan.
