It's been a year and a half since the Sinestro Corps were defeated, and things have changed. Batman no longer defends Gotham alone- he is aided by Barbara Gordon, the Batgirl. Spider-Man, Spawn, and Luke Cage defend New York as a team... And Lex Luthor is President of the United States. Using his manipulation of the country, he makes a move to outlaw all costumed vigilantes, convincing people that the Defenders of Earth are the ones who really brought the Corps down to Earth in the first place. With the police unwilling to help them, the Defenders rely on themselves to reveal the real Luthor to the world, before he closes in on them.

"Wait." Lena pushes herself to her feet, watching closely as the hooded woman slowly looks over her shoulder at her. Without breaking eye contact with her, Lena reaches a hand into her pocket. When she feels the object, still lit up in her hand, she lowers her eyes to look at it one last time. "This- Is this yours?" Kara's gaze drops to Lena's extended hand. Her jaw clenches, but she makes no other movements. "Not anymore." Her voice doesn't betray her emotions. Without turning to completely face Lena, Kara reaches her own hand into her pocket while keeping her eyes on the familiar light in Lena's hand. The slightest gasp falls from Lena's lips when she sees what the woman pulls out of her pocket. She watches in stunned silence as Kara slowly extends her hand toward her. As the two identical objects touch, both lights die. Finally, the blonde woman meets her eyes again. Before Lena can open her mouth, the stranger speaks. "Keep it." * Whether or not Superman came to existence, Kara Zor-El and Lena Luthor were bound to have their paths cross. Kara's pod lands on Earth in 2004. Six years later, Lena is sitting in that exact same pod.

Their parents knew each other. But Kara and Lena never interacted as kids. They only stole glances from each other but Kara loved Lena since then. And Lena unknowingly fell in love with the princess in her drawings. When Lena's life is in danger, Kara had no choice but to save the love of her life.

Lena is once again kidnapped by her mother. She escapes using her brain and out-smarting her mother.

She cannot lose another home. On her hero's journey, she'll discover exactly what and who means home to her. This is a series of stories in the show's episodic format to replace season two starting at "Medusa." Each story arc contributes to one larger story line as my version of the second season.
