Luz, Amity, Hunter, Willow, Gus, and Emira were just thrown through the portal to the human realm, forced to leave the Boiling Isles. Stuck in the human realm until they can open a new portal, Luz returns back to school. Emira dwells in the loss of her old life, not knowing if her brother is okay. When Luz brings home a girl for a theatre project, Emira's heart stops, her stomach drops, and she thinks that maybe this won't be so bad after all. In a foreign realm, Emira must relearn how to live, possibly with some help from a human girl. This is also uploaded on Ao3.
