She's an outcast who's seen as awkward and weird by her peers, and her only friends are the characters she reads about. It isn't easy being one of the only openly queer kids in her school. All she wants is someone to understand and love her for who she is, but will that ever happen? The two couldn't be more different, but when fate (or the science teacher) brings them together, will they form an unlikely friendship, or maybe something more? --- In this AU they're all humans, and they're also two years older for story purposes. --- You can expect: rivals to lovers but mostly friends to lovers, angst, fluff (eventually), mutual pining, found family, gay panics™️, Luz being oblivious, Amity having a sexuality crisis, etc. All before having a happy ending, don't fret, my child! --- Not intended for children. After catching up with almost everyone, her friends invite her to a concert of one of the most popular bands in the Boiling Isles. So, what are the odds that her crush is the lead singer of the band? And what are the greater odds that she gets the chance to be the band's drummer? Luz Noceda and Amity Blight have been thrown around and pushed through so much. What they don't know is the big roller coaster they're about to go on. As Luz is finding her way without Amity by her side, she runs into complications, finding herself thinking about Amity more than she'd like. Amity wants to be a better person, learn from her mistakes and hopefully get the love of her life back. She wants to be in her arms once again, feel her hands run through her hair. She misses having Luz next to her, holding her hand. Sadly none of what she wants comes true...at least not as she expected.

Amity is literally half a witch, she dyes her hair to match others and she's the best to blend in. What happens when a human comes to her dimension and almost blows her cover? It's been months and yet, Amity Blight still gets startled at waking up not with one but two girlfriends by her side. And then there's the ugly Grimwalker lying next to Willow who's lying next to Luz. It's been months and, yet, Luz Noceda still gets as excited to wake up to her two girlfriends and one stinky gremlin of a boyfriend as on the very first day she woke up to them all still asleep. It's been months and yet, Hunter Clawthorne still has to do a double and triple take upon waking up. Not because of the softness he's clinging to for dear life. He grew accustomed to Willow's body heat tightly pressed against him rather quickly once they started dating. What Hunter needs to triple check is the human lying next to his girlfriend, who also happens to be Hunter's other girlfriend. And then there's Amity, hugging her own girlfriend's arm, chin resting on Luz's shoulder. Willow Park is in the middle of making breakfast when a pair of arms sneakily wrap around her waist, a chin coming to rest on top of her shoulder.

Amity's breath hitches in her throat, and she doesn't speak. "Can I kiss you?" Luz asks, her breath tickling Amity's lips. Without any hesitation Amity nods her head yes, her eyes still wide. She couldn't believe it. Was this actually happening or was she dreaming? Luz looks at Amity again, obviously nervous. She doesn't seem to move, so Amity does instead. She cups Luz's face with her hands and gently brings her closer, pressing her lips against Luz's. The hybrid lets out a muffled squeak of surprise, but doesn't pull away or try to stop Amity. After a moment Amity releases Luz and covers her mouth with her hand, her cheeks tinted pink. Luz says nothing, and her ears lower, the tips of them red. "Wow." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luz Clawthorne-Noceda had always lived in the demon realm along with Camila and Eda, her moms. She'd never gotten along with Amity Blight, but a witch's duel and a whole lot of magic changed that quicker than she ever thought it could. ⚠ All characters are the same ages as in the show ⚠ This story was completed on around 1:35 on July 31st, 2022 with a total word count of 61,250 words.
