Every month, I interview a person who's college-bound from my school to motivate other students that it's possible to have a secondary education. For this interview, I chose to talk to a freshman from my school; Angel Jáuregui just completed his first test of high school at Aspire Lionel Wilson Prep in Oakland,CA. He's a young, bright student at LWP who's always trying to be the best student he could ever be to eventually go to a good college. I've known Angel for almost 11 years, and it's been truly amazing to see how much he's grown as person throughout the years. He is interested in Business, likes to play the guitar on his free time. I wish him the best for the next 3 years of high school and hope his hunger for growth never ends.

This is my first story! it is about a learning with pibby au! (This is based off the trailer because the show isn't out yet!) It is going to be a different group with my ocs and other videos game characters and of course you! I like to think that the cartoon virus affects all cartoon characters which means ocs, videos games, and TV shows! (And cartoons obviously!) Story will take long periods of time to update. Two chapters may be uploaded in a week, and then not be updated for another month. So basically posting is random here, because of motivation and my lack of hyperfixation on learning with Pibby. Update: Story is on permanent hiatus as far as I can tell. Working on more stuff I'm interested in.

Low-income communities in the Bay Area often suffer from lack of educational opportunities. Due to these barriers being set up in low-income communities like Oakland, CA, many students aren't fully motivated to go to college or to do a post-secondary career. Students tend to stop being academically-oriented due to lack of monetary resources or because of the dissenting culture these students have to experience on a daily basis. These students start to lose hope in a post-secondary education because no one around them are there to help motivate them. I decided to interview my fellow friend, Yvette Peña, who is a senior at my school Aspire Lionel Wilson College Preparatory Academy. Since I met Yvette in 9th grade, she has always been an academically motivated student. She likes to be involved in after-school programs like SLAM(poetry club) and Ignite(girl empowerment club), and doesn't feel discouraged when called a "tryhard" or a "teacher's pet". She's truly a role model for the school who values education and wants the best for her and for everyone at the school. Yvette will be graduating this spring from my school and I wish her the best at UC Davis this fall.

Salvador Avelar RaiseMe Ambassador August 27 Assignment Every month, I interview someone from either my school or my programs to get an insight on how first-gen students can be successful in Post-Secondary education and beyond that. For my fourth and final interview, I decided to interview my long-time friend from my school, Cristian Jauregui. This was one of the interviews that I was looking forward for the most because I've known Cristian since I was like 5 years old, and I just wanted to hear more about his hopes and dreams for his bright future. Cristian is a senior at my school (Aspire Lionel Wilson College Preparatory Academy) who is very outgoing in and out of the classroom. From taking college classes at his local CC to teaching middle schoolers how to play the guitar, Cristian is a well-rounded student who dreams of going into the medical field. I can't wait to see him go off to college where he'll then start to accomplish all of his life goals.
