Rumor has it that when a person meets their soulmate, their chests would glow an extraordinary colour. The two minds would immediately link with eachother, bonding in such a way that it would be impossible not to fall in love. Of course, this is a very rare occurrence.. Some would call it an urban legend. There isn't any proof, in reality. Photos and videos would be called photoshop, or edited effects. Witnesses cannot be believed. That's just the way it is. However, some people still believe in this.. miracle, this... this crazy and mysterious event. But.. they'll never know when or if it will happen. A fanfiction about Death Note's very own L and Light in a bully x victim situation. Yaoi included. Based off a tumblr AU where when a person meets their soulmate their chests glow. ~I originally lost this whole story and I wasn't going to rewrite it but I managed to recover the first chapter, so I'm posting it here and I'll slowly redo the whole thing. :) ~

A war has arrupted. On one side there's Light Yagami, AKA Kira. Fighting with the Deathnote and gaining more and more followers. On the other side there's L. Teamed with the detectives and cops, trying to take down Kira's army. Will either succeed.

Whenever L feels those amber eyes boring into him, a strange fluttering sensation arises in his chest. And this scares the aloof detective more than anything. He is certain that the sensation is due to the uncomfortable intensity of Light's piercing gaze, because honestly, what else could it be? After all, the world's greatest detective does not have emotions and certainly not in the middle of an investigation, when all is at stake in this game of cat and mouse. L knows he must win at all costs. Light constantly catches himself staring at the insomniac detective who continues to prove an enigma to the high school genius. Light is sure that he hates everything about L; that messy ebony hair, those unwavering, cold obsidian eyes and that spindly, pale figure of his. Yet there is something about the detective that irresistibly draws Light's attention. And Light is determined to figure out exactly what, by finally unraveling the puzzle that is L.
