Sirius decides to take BSL Unit 101 in his second year of college; it's here that he meets Remus. (This fic explores some aspects of Deaf culture and discussions about the Deaf community. I am hearing, but I did take BSL 101 in my second year of college, so I do know how that course in particular works (nothing like giving your favourite characters your own lived experiences). If anyone who is Deaf feels I have made any mistakes regarding my representation of my Deaf characters, please let me know, and I will make changes. I have done my best to research everything I've mentioned in this fic to ensure the descriptions and portrayals are accurate, but something could have slipped through the gaps.)

𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜. The first time Lyall Lupin laid eyes on Hope Howell; he saw spring. Her emerald green eyes, so pretty, deep and yet thus mysterious. Reminding him so much of the blossoming spring with its colorful flowers and green bushes and her pink lips looking like roses. His warm, deep hazelnut eyes with glittering specks of gold. Reminding her so much of hot chocolate, tea and leaves falling from magnificent trees. His light brown locks with strands of gold and auburn brightnesses, his year-round autumnal beauty. All in all Lyall Lupin reminded her of autumn.

Madeline Hope Lupin is the daughter of Remus Lupin. Showing absolutly no signs of lycanthropy, you'd think her life would be easy. Not really. She was born mute, and just the same as how magic can't fix Harry's eyesight, it can't fix her vocal chords. She and her father lived a calm life in a cottage before Albus Dumbledore offered her father the job as Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. With no other family, Maddy journey's to Hogwarts with her father, and meets some famous people along the way. And it doesn't help that her father's former best friend is at large, but does she know that? No. Maddy may be in more trouble than she thinks, or in less than the rest of the world thinks. No person is really sure yet. Follow Maddy through the adventures of being a nine year old at Hogwarts, helping her father in DADA and avoiding a certain Potions professor at all costs. *I don't own Harry Potter. You know of James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, but you don't know their family that lived before them- their fathers, for example. Fleamont Potter, Orion Black, Lyall Lupin and Timothy Pettigrew have been the best of friends ever since they meet on the Hogwarts Express for the first time in 1930. They were closer then brothers. All Orion, Timothy, Fleamont and Lyall want is to survive through their seven years at Hogwarts - but their family and friends might not be able to do even that.

What if all four Marauders survived the wars? (Yes, even Peter). What if they managed to have larger families, and live their lives to the fullest? This takes place in 2010, featuring the alive Marauders.

We never hear of The Marauders before the Marauders. What was Lyall Lupin's story along with Fleamont Potter and his invisibility cloak? Along with Alistair Pettigrew and Orion Black, they make an unstoppable team over their seven years at Hogwarts. Unfortunately, there's more to it than that. For the four Marauders were haunted by the past that refused to leave them.

And when Greyback gives Remus a horrifying price of information, Remus realizes that every person he has ever loved is being stolen from him. And it's his own fault. Things may never be the same again.
