Hermione Granger is working as a researcher for the ministry, a position given to her by the Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. With Luna Lovegood as a research partner and Neville Longbottom as a herbology consultant, their searching has led them to discover a potential cure for lycanthropy, which could save the hundreds of people bitten and turned during the war. Draco Malfoy is an Auror for the Ministry of Magic. After his family's participation in the war, they have all been punished in different ways. His father was sent straight to Azkaban, but given that the effects of mental abuse motivated her actions, his mother was sentenced to probation, and 8 years of work at St. Mungo's Hospital. Draco was given the same consideration. Given that he was a minor under duress, he was not sent to Azkaban with his father, but instead forced to serve the ministry catching dark witches and wizards still at large. The trace has remained intact and his movements are closely monitored by his boss, Head Auror Harry Potter, and the Minister himself. When the two are sent on assignment in Bulgaria together, they find that post war, their relationship has become...rather different than before.
