It's the anniversary of the death of Lydia's mom. All four of Lydia's parents have noticed that she's been down, the only ones Lydia seems to be wanting to spend time with being her dad and Betelgeuse. When he and Betelgeuse start to notice she's spending more time with them and less time with Delia and the Maitlands, he and Betelgeuse strive to get her to at least spend time with them. But will she? When Lydia and Betelgeuse start going out more often to go and look for lost ghosts, Lydia ends a day getting grounded by all four of her parents. And when Lydia loses the ability to see the Maitlands, her dad, Delia, and Betelgeuse must do everything they can to help her be able to see them again.

Betelgeuse has come back and seems...strangely kind? He's definitely changed over the past year. He's become good friends with Lydia but something is off...it's like he's planning something...but what? After some bad luck in New York you decide to move in with your old friend, Lydia, up in a quite town in Connecticut. Seems like this little town has a lot more then you anticipated. This is set 5 years after the movie/musical (mostly based on musical) you are 5 years older then Lydia (Title and description are being worked on)

When Lydia Marshall (circ. Deetz) moves back to Winter River, Connecticut with her three children, she hopes to give them a quieter and more permanent home while their father/husband is overseas in the navy. Her father and stepmother, Charles and Delia still own the now-infamous "haunted" house but now spend most of their retirement years in Hawaii, trying to open a stylish resort there. Barbara and Adam Maitland still reside in the house, as they are required to do so for 125 years by the Afterlife. They are ecstatic to have their surrogate daughter back, as well as her children. However, the Maitlands are unable to be seen by Lydia's oldest daughter, who is struggling with the move and trying to relate to her mother. When Lydia's husband is announced as MIA presumed dead in the sinking of his ship, the family is left distraught and hurt by the loss. This hits Lydia particularly hard due to having lost her own mother rather young and knows how hard it can be. She fears that now her children will grow up without a parent. Even with her parents and the Maitlands attempting to comfort her, Lydia begins to withdraw and some of her gothic and morbid behaviours begin to resurface. She also begins to lash out at her eldest daughter, which ruins the bond they were building. Even though she knows she can't bring back the dead, Lydia wants to be sure that her husband is truly dead and be given the opportunity to say a final goodbye to him. Lydia calls upon Beetlejuice to help her gain access to the Netherworld. Secretly, the bio-exorcist is hoping to trade places with the desperate wife and mother so he can walk amongst the living again. Just as Lydia enters the door to the Afterlife, her husband reappears at the door much to everyone's joy. but the door shuts, trapping her on the other side and leaving Beetlejuice to wreak havoc on the family.

I don't really know where this will go but I really wanted to be able to write about my favorite dysfunctional family. Most chapters are going to be just a different story in each chapter, but some things may happen in the span of a few chapters. Also just a heads up that there's going to be a lot of Delia in the story because she owns my entire heart. I really hope anyone reading this enjoys it :)

The holiday season has arrived at the Deetz-Maitland house and everyone is getting into the holiday spirit along with the house's literal spirits the Maitlands and the bio exorcist demon, Beetlejuice. Not only that but there is gonna be a new addition coming into the step-family along with a long-time e-pal from California Lydia befriended online named Cassidy how will this strange and unusual girl get through Christmastime especially with a new step-sibling that might be born on that day along with dealing with her demon BFFFF forever. This fanfiction will be guaranteed to jingle your bells and leave you laughing all the way. I'm using elements from the movie, musical and cartoon for this story and I designed the cover myself
