Samantha Bellham has lived a long and unhappy life, plagued by the failings of her parents, and weighed down by their need for her constant support. Finally, she's gotten a good thing. A new job working with Leo Dalton and Henry Cunningham at the Lyell Centre. The pay was decent, and it was close to her flat, the two most important things to her. She hadn't expected for the team to be quite so closely knit, being asked out for drinks regularly and invited to dinner. She can't say no as the people-pleaser she is, but they soon take notice of how she deliberately searches out the cheapest thing on the menu and cuts out early on drinks nights.
