Maire who is known as "Five" from the USWNT and "Zero" from her international soccer teammates, takes on another challenge, this time by playing against the one team, that she thought that she wasn't going to play against. And that is the four time world champion team the USWNT! Maire gets grounded for a year, for the two accident and incident, that happened during the events of Goal! The Next Chapter. After being grounded for one year, Maire returns back to her international soccer team along with a new companion named Axel, and with her cousin Clara, and her new soccer friends Nora and Hadley. However, after winning all of their competition games, Maire's team take on one last and final game of their season, and that's playing against their national senior team, the USWNT. Maire, Clara, Nora, and Hadley, have to work together along with their teammates, in order to keep their winning streak alive. Even if it means to confront their former teammates, in a battle of win or lose. And do Whatever it takes to win.

Goal!: Extra is based on "extra" stories of what happened during the Goal chapter series, including extra bonus chapters. Which includes Maire hanging out with some of the USWNT players, her new found team The Knights, and the real secret behind Maire's actual real name and Axel's real identity.

(After the events of Goal!), Maire also known as "Five" by her family, friends, and the USWNT. Now, known as "Zero", by her youth international teammates. Takes another challenge again, this time as one of her team's captains. After Maire makes a promise to Coach April, that she was going to play like she did along with the USWNT, and not quit. Even if she really wants to. There's one thing that Maire lacks, besides meeting new people, and that's leadership. After Maire's new coach makes her the 2nd captain for her team, much to her dismay, she decides to keep her promise and not quit. Maire also finds herself in a tough situation after she tries to befriend a new player from her team, a bossy, ruthless, and yet, a good goal scorer midfielder named Hadley, who hates her. However, when some of the players of the USWNT get injured after a practice game against a rough team, Maire along with three of her teammates, a goalie named Nora, Hadley the new midfielder, and a defender named Clara. Must take their place, in order to help the USWNT win another trophy, for their winter league. This time however, Maire is not alone on the field, and has her cousin Clara to play alongside her. Maire, with the help of Clara, Hadley, and Nora, have to work together, in order to set their differences aside, and become the team that their coach wants them to be. Maiya Hughes a certified genius at 23 is an agent who has worked for both the FBI and Interpol is undercover as Lakin Parker new trainer for the USWNT. Maiya and her fellow agents are tasked to gather intel to take down those involved in the illegal conspiracy's taking place throughout the US Soccer Federation. Will Maiya be able to follow through with the mission and will she find love along the way?

When shy and friendly, 18 year old Maire also known as her nickname "Five" wins a ticket from a cereal box. And not just any ticket, a USWNT special ticket that lets the winner go to their games, train with the team, and even be one of their players for the whole season! When Maire finds out that she is the winner, she decides to turn it down since she is not a "big" fan of soccer. --------------------------- However, when Maire finds out that she can't turn down such a big opportunity, she decides to join in. Traveling to where the USWNT are training and staying at, she is at first excited and shy to meet them, but is too embarrassed when she can't do anything right, when it comes to soccer and training with the team, playing with the team, or even hanging out with the team (as a normal person). That changes until fellow USWNT players Hope Solo, Lauren Cheney, Amy Rodriguez and a former USWNT coach, Coach April Heinrichs, decided to help train Maire, with the help of Mal Pugh, and the other USWNT players. When Maire sees that being a soccer player isn't an easy job, she then realizes that there is more than just playing soccer in the game than to love it, but it's also the team's socializing efforts, and valuable teamwork, that puts the game in its place.
