However, her father Rave Lockser was overly protective towards her and she is not allowed to go out. Her life completely changes when her father's good friend and his son Gray Fullbuster came from Paris to stay with them. Gray was very cold to Juvia from the start, however, her father saw him as a reliable man and trust him to take care of his daughter.
