Dr. Maaran is curious. He is used to being talked about by everyone in his humble colony, and while the introvert in him wishes they wouldn't, he appreciates their love for the "five-rupees doctor". So when he hears about the new music teacher, the one who left Chennai behind along with one of the best music conservatories in the nation just to teach the children who couldn't afford to be there, he's intrigued. His younger patients rave about the always smiling, sweet new teacher. Who is she? Aishwarya's life has changed completely in two months. She'd been on the star track, headed toward success as one of the finest students at one of the best classical music institutions in India, Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music. She could and would have been one of the stars of Chennai's classical music industry. But when her best friend, who was equally if not more talented than her, Seetha was refused because of the locality she was from, causing her to commit suicide. Horrified, Aishwarya quit the academy and created her own little music school in Seetha's (and coincidentally, Maaran's) colony, fighting against the education industry-turned-business in her deceased friend's memory. She hears stories from her students about the kind, warm doctor who only charges 5 rupees, no matter the procedure. Who is he? When their mothers get them into an arranged marriage, how will their lives change?
