The summer after graduation was supposed to be simple for Mabel. But with Dipper away on a summer internship and the future looking uncertain before her, Mabel Pines returns to Gravity Falls. Back to the old Mystery Shack, back to the people she was once so close to, and back to the familiar strangeness she once called home. It should feel comforting. But it doesn't. The nightmares she's carried since that summer when she was 12 follow her back. Except... they're fiercer now. More deliberate. Less like memories, and more like something watching her remember. And the worst part is, this time she's alone. At least until she isn't. The source of her fear being back in this town. Bill Cipher. But Bill isn't supposed to exist anymore. They defeated him. Right? Eight years later, the Pines Twins receive a letter from their great uncles, it was an invitation to come live in Gravity Falls. The two agree, and pack up their bags and leave Piedmont. But an unexpected roommate starts to become infatuated with Mabel. Will she fall deep into the bottomless pit that is called love, or will she stay stuck in the tree that keeps her alone?

(This story takes place a little after season 2 episode 11 AKA [SPOILER] when Ford comes out of the portal. If you've seen the episode, you'll know who I'm talking about, if not, don't read on!) ••• Mabel Pines is still the quirky girl she's always been, but when she bumps into Bill Cipher, things change, but the question is: for the better or for the worst? Disclaimer: I don't NOT own Gravity Falls or the characters in it. I may add new characters in and stuff but that's about it. I mean it's pretty obvious that I don't own Gravity Falls.

This is the side of Bill Cipher, and this is how he feels about everything. When he turns human, he is found by Mabel. Mabel is now sixteen years old, and they end up being friends. Bill learns the way of friendship, and then very soon, love. This is a fanfiction that will keep you wanting to know more.

When the twins stumble upon Bill's statue in the forest, Dipper dares Mabel to shake his hand. What happens next is not what either of them expected.

So if you take a look at my profile you would find my mabill fanfic, which I will be rewriting in this "book" because I thought it would be a fun idea improving on a 10 year old child's writing. I hope it won't be too bad? I'd probably still cringe at this updated version 5 years in the future though. Mabill is a silly ship in the first place and should not really exist, but I'm still going to write this for the sake of seeing the improvement. Keeping the disgustingly cliche tropes and just improving on the writing. - This is like a short story kind of one-shot thing.
