Twenty-five years ago, Elias Zwarteveen unwillingly turned into a bogeyman. Desperate for a way to reverse the transformation, he'd like to meet another one of his kind. His girlfriend's seven-year-old has it on good authority that the janitor's closet in his school harbors another bogeyman and proposes to investigate. "Not before I can discuss with your mom," Elias warns him, but do kids ever listen? Well, this one doesn't. Bogs, boggit, holy bogs! 'Elementary, Elias!' is A '7 Nights with the Bogeyman' spin-off but can be read as a standalone short story. This story was written for the @macabremortum 2024 contest.
