Story Description
Mace Windu survived.
The fall from the Chancellor's tower did not kill him-but it took everything else.
A faint scar traces down one side of his face, a permanent reminder of lightning and betrayal. His right hand is gone, replaced with a cold, mechanical prosthetic that hums softly in the desert heat. His purple blade is lost to Coruscant's depths, and the Jedi Order he helped lead has been erased from the galaxy.
Now, cloaked in brown robes with his hood drawn low, Mace Windu walks the sands of Tatooine-a ghost among moisture farmers and smugglers, hiding from the Empire he failed to stop.
In his arms sleeps Luke Skywalker.
Not Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Him.
Each twin sunset reminds Mace of the truth he cannot escape.
"Anakin's fall to the dark side,"
he admits to the empty desert, voice low and steady,
"was my fault."
Where Obi-Wan believed in hope, Mace believes in responsibility.
He will not train Luke as a symbol.
He will not shape him into a weapon.
Instead, Mace becomes something new-
a watcher, a guardian, a man learning humility beneath endless stars.
As the Empire tightens its grip on the galaxy and Darth Vader hunts the last echoes of the Jedi, Mace Windu must confront his past dogma, his failures, and the terrifying question:
Can the Jedi be reborn without repeating the same mistakes?
And when the time comes...
will Luke Skywalker be raised as the Jedi Order once demanded-
or as the galaxy truly needs?
