It isn't easy being a mutant, especially as two kids living on the streets with nothing but each other. Nevertheless, Alex and Troy manage. They are, after all, air-manipulating and teleporting monsters whilst in their shiro forms. One day, on a mission to retrieve an artifact that they believe will give them more information on their existence, the pair find themselves facing off with a Cretia -- a ruthless monster with no qualms for killing -- and losing. By only a miracle are they saved. Their saviors aren't like anyone they've ever met in their already-crazy life. In an instant, they go from solo fighters to joining up with STAT, a government agency from the distant future, and a group of other mutants, just like them, only more Ancient Egyptian or technologically snotty. Maybe Alex and Troy have absolutely no idea just what is going on, but one thing's for sure -- their new ragtag family will be their only shot at survival.

A hit-and-run that should've killed Maddie Ashford instead leaves her with a dimension-traversing soul - one of the few with the divine gift to flow between the Earth and Irnum. But as a curse of impossible timing, it also jumps between the two worlds too sporadically for her to live as the teenager she once was. She has no choice but to accept her new life as an ETA agent... and don an inescapable mask of silver and black. "My mind is still in a jumble. I still have no idea what I'm doing here. If this is real. If I'll live. If I'm even alive in the first place." In Death We Part is a story for lovers of paranormal badassery. The cover image is Wenqing Yan's The Raven.
