Madeleine hates his family. Hes been subject to their stupid logics for too long; one night he gets into arguments with his close relatives. On this night; the arguments turn into insults which ends up with Madeleine at Espressos house and offering to run away.

Madeleine catches feelings for Espresso, so he decides to hang around him to become closer to him. Espresso also catches feelings after a while of hanging out. Au where Madeleine has turned to the dark side, and recruits Espresso to join him. Espresso has no idea what to expect when Madeleine tells him he wants to betray the Cookies of Darkness and take power for himself instead. Madeleine wants to....rule the world. But he can only do it with Espresso by his side. Also!!!! I'm altering lore!!!! So, if you notice that some lore or backstory does not line up with the official storyline or lore of any of the cookie games, then that might be because I changed it!! Sorry in advance if that ruins things for you, but I'm also adding new things that would not make sense otherwise. (Also I don't know like half of the lore so just bear with me thanks). An especially though fight with the cake hounds leaves Espresso to crumble mid combat but to his (mis)fortune they have the revival token at hand. The rush of the adrenaline made them continue with the fight, having no time to heal up their friend unless they want to risk another one of their members crumble which brings a small amounts of side effects, albeit most of it being mental.
