Achilles is bitter, the death of Patroclus has left his sorrow incomparable, and his anger scalding. Achilles would do anything to get Patroclus back, and he will. After finishing the song of Achilles, I decided to write this headcanon so I could move on with my life. In hopes that my heart would finally mend after Madeline tore it from my chest.(T_T) I just felt that I needed a short story where we get to see Achilles and Patroclus reunited and happy in their afterlife. It was quite a cathartic process and the end result is this. I hope it gives you as much relief reading it as it gave me writing it. Enjoy :) Setting: After Thetis etches Patroclus' name on Achilles' tomb, his soul is finally unbound from the earth. Patroclus is free to reunite with his lover, friend, companion and protector, Achilles. P.S My heart is still broken, but less so after writing this.
