The year is 1864, and Madeline Bonnefoy is the daughter of two of the highest nobles, Francis and Alice Bonnefoy. She is engaged -and soon to be wed- to Abel De Vries, a shady aristocrat who will do anything for power. Madeline soon meets Gilbert Beilschmidt, a lowly commoner who is a costermonger and who will do anything for a good fight. With their friendship, there is sure to be skeletons in the closet... *Will probably update to Mature in the future!*

However, in one of the more frustrating times of her life, Francine comes along.
