Katniss and Peeta have been best friends since childhood. They would have sleepovers. Go to the movies. Just normal friend things right? One day Peeta realizes he has more than just friend feelings towards Katniss.

The power is all around you. Madge figured it out at a young age. Ever since her mother died she had been living on the streets begging for money and in return a trick. Not any old magic trick with the bunny and the hat but actually making fire alive. Giving it life. Madge doesn't have any ordinary trick. Even though magic is forbidden in her city she hides it well. A friend helps her along the way by giving her food and shelter when she ran out of money. The two had known each other since they were kids helping each other out in any way possible.
