The Shadow Monster has been defeated, the Gate has been closed, and Hawkins Lab has been shut down. Winter has passed and it's the time of new life and new beginnings. And for El, new beginnings mean a million new things to do and learn. Some things were easy to figure out, like the fact that she loves books and needs to learn to make something other than Eggos. Others however were not. Like why can't she go to school? Does she have to go to school again? What does that word mean? But most of all, what is this feeling she always gets around a certain red-headed skater?

First chapter's intro basically explains everything :)

"El rubbed the tears from her eyes until they stung a raw red. The girl continued to toss and turn, trying to drift off into dreamland after waking up from a terrible nightmare." El wakes up from a nightmare and goes to Max for comfort. Set in modern times, but events of Stranger Things seasons 1-3 took place. This happens about a year or two after the events of season 3. [Title after The 1975 song "Haunt//Bed"]
