The short story depicts a tale during the colonial era, in a village near madras at the time When Contagious Disease Act was enforced.

This is the life story of a South-Indian woman with humble background, making her life emerge from archaic tradition and background. Her life of trials and tribulations in the late 20th century are described. The story is set in the stage of family ties, occupation, woman emancipation in a world of inequalities, competition and pathos. STORY COMPLETED.
