She can deal with being called 'middle class,' she can deal with the never-ending noise complaints. She can deal with the town talking about her unconventional reputation. Hell - she can deal with being blamed for her late husband's death. But what Rebekah can't deal with is her neighbour stabbing her in the back. They mocked him because his mother was a mad woman, but everything changed when they discovered who his biological father was. Joshua was quite handsome, intelligent, and smart, but it brought him so much pain and misery because he outshined his foster brother in almost everything, including love. They both fell for the same girl in school, but she chose him instead. Because of that, he was maltreated and abused at home. And when the truth came out that he was never a true member of the family, that he was actually born by a mad woman, things became worse. The whole school mocked and laughed at him. "Born by a mad woman" even became his nickname. Is his girlfriend still going to accept him, or will she break up with him and follow his brother? Meanwhile, the mad woman in question had been missing since his birth, but he was determined to find her for answers and maybe... Have a real happy family with her. So he embarked on the journey to find her. A lot happened on the way, many secrets were uncovered, and when his biological father came into the picture, everything changed. In this narrative, the protagonist reflects on the death of their mother, which occurs during the Mongolian lunar New Year, Qakhan Saar. The story captures the tension between family traditions and personal struggles, especially the strained relationship between the protagonist's parents. As the family travels to visit relatives in the snowy town of Amgvlang, the mother remains dutiful and caring despite ongoing marital conflicts. However, upon arriving and ascending the stairs to their relatives' apartment, the mother suddenly and unexpectedly dies. This tragic event is depicted as a moment of fleetingness, like a crystal snowflake, and the protagonist grapples with the loss, likening death to a "plumed serpent" that gently takes loved ones away while protecting the bereaved from complete despair.

Flash fiction story that I wrote in honour of spooky season.

Yeah... He sure is used to girls clinging on him, wanting him, seducing him, beg him to love them... But non of them was like this one. She wasn't begging nor asking, she wasn't being nice nor sexy to attract his attention... She was ORDERING him to love her because she loved him, and damn.. She wasn't even rich, she was a poor street rag ordering one the richest young entrepreneurs in the country, Dantan Denzel on something he never had time for, Love. She's actually something he had never seen, that's where the drama begins.
