Based on the events of JRR Tolkien's The Silmarillion. In the aftermath of a war that shattered Middle-Earth, two brothers find themselves exiled after stealing their father's jewels (the Silmarils) from an army camp. Maedhros and Maglor have been running from their fate for a long time. Now that they have no one left but each other, it may finally catch up to them.

A short free verse poem about the tragic death of Maedhros. The loss of his life brings an end to another Silmaril, one of three jewels that he, his father, and brothers swore to take back from the evil Dark Lord Morgoth. This was originally a found poem written for school, inspired by phrases from the short story "To Build A Fire" by Jack London. After it was marked, I altered the words a little to make it much more Tolkienesque :D

Maglor has lived through the centuries, going from place to place trying to keep the fact he's an elf and immortal a secret. He does not want to repeat what happened to him before. However, his quiet life is about to be uprooted when he's called on a special case to check something or rather someone out. This story has been inspired by an artist on DeviantArt named greenapplefreak's amazing comics about elves in modern times. Kanafinwe Makalaure Feanorion awoke thinking that he was finally pardoned by the Valar and that he would finally be able to sail back home. When it becomes evident that he isn't in the right dimension however, he ends up having to stay in a curious school filled with growing maiar, including one Harry Potter. Set during the Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and possibly Order of the Phoenix. May change drastically in the future. I do NOT own anything from Harry Potter or The Silmarillion, those credits belong to their rightful authors. The only thing that's mine is the plot of this fanfiction. Unbeta-ed, so please don't kill me!

In the first age where joy and bitterness are woven one into the other, the plans of Morgoth and the fate of the Silmarills push the world ever closer to the brink of destruction. Where kinsmen are torn apart by conflict and terrible vows and even the wise cannot tell what end befits the high and mighty of the age; though perhaps it is the lowly they should concern themselves with.

A poem for Maedhros and his struggles about the choices he had to make. About the how he had to choose between the Oath and his morals.

I wrote this for my younger sister and her obsession for Maedhros!
