This story does not include any of the known characters from the video game, but focuses primarily on a story inspired by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that takes up the theme of the rivalry between Writers and Painters as well as parts of the worldbuilding in order to interweave them with a German flavor and especially with the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. Content: Romané, a young woman who is the daughter of a Writer and a Painter, threatens to throw the fragile balance between the two hostile factions into disarray. In order to protect her daughter from the Writers, who are prepared to use lethal force, her mother hides Romané inside one of her paintings, where she is protected by Alphonse, whom she created in the image of the very man who is now hunting them both

With the mission to break the cycle, a new expedition is set to sail after Gommage's Day.
