A fictional first person account of ultimately, the experience of the spiritual ascension of the human race. Sophie Jackson is a young, single mother who feels as though she is stuck in a rut. Raising her young Asperger's syndrome daughter alone, she feels as though she is living on a completely different planet. It is only when her relationship with her ex-boyfriend is rekindled that she begins to discover the meaning of her life; who she is and what she was born for. A story of self-discovery, spirituality and ultimate disillusionment, "Understanding" is a story for those of us who feel as though we were born for a greater purpose. To ultimately ensue the spiritual enlightement and ascension of mankind.

Set in a medieval world of magic and hocus pocus, 'The Poison of Magic' is a book focusing on the adventures of Mya Piper, twelve year old girl, who flees her village to settle in the great town of Disa. Unlike her village, Disa is bustling with people and magic. Mya joins a school for promising young magicians, but in less than a day, she finds out something about herself that will change her life forever. Not only is she a powerful magician, but she's a dangerous one as well. A danger to herself, and the people around her.

Could be a hoax, could be a true to life story. This short piece is based on the story my grandfather told me when I was a kid. The place where it took place, Olongapo, is his hometown. Could some mysterious events like this be true? If they could, would they be accidental and be out of coincidence or would they be meant to happen?

In a little theatre a strange actor is on the stage. The devil."Today I will bring there those who participated in the crucifixion, causing the death of Jesus." he says. He will understand that it's true but he intended something different. He will face a wide group of souls, like Pontius Pilate, Claudia Procula, Mary Magdalene, the lady and so on. This story was inspired by the life of Mary Magdalene. A young woman is taken from her family and married off to a man twice her age. Having already resigned herself to a life of misery, she meets a group of men who are causing disturbances in the sometimes barbaric and archaic traditions of their kingdom. When they offer to free her from the cage she is in, she must decide if it is worth the risk and the danger.

When Love comes to town, a young woman, transformed by God, embarks on an epic journey. This is the life story of Mary Magdalene as widely known during medieval times.

Yeshua(Jesus) and Miriam of Migdal (Mary Magdalene) love each other deeply, but Yeshua's mission in life requires him to lead a life of celibacy. As time goes on, Yeshua becomes more and more certain that his mission on Earth will require him to make the ultimate sacrifice. Who among Yeshua's devoted disciples will he pick to be the husband of the woman he loves, to provide her with the protection, dignity and children he himself is unable to? Who will be her ally in spreading the gospel and in preserving Jesus' memory? ...Special thanks to Sholem Asch. I read a chapter of his novel, The Nazarene and could not stop thinking about Miriam of Migdal. Caution: I have no historical or scientific evidence to back up the disciple I chose, nor is that disciple necessarily mentioned in Asch's book, as I have only read some chapters. I also mean no disrespect to Jesus for showing that he may have had romantic feelings towards Miriam of Migdal. Yeshua was strong enough to follow though with his purpose no matter what, and that is something we can al aspire to.

Mary Magdalene highlights a love affair tarnished with sin. Produced in 2011 for my Creative Writing module at university. Written and inspired by Carol Ann Duffy's timeless classic, 'The World's Wife.'
