Nicole Bancroft has been studying magic her entire life, trying to find new ways to help people. One day, she comes up with an idea: a spell that will take a copy of one's genetics to study, with help from her elvish partner, Maylin Shanelis. And the spell works. Kind of. Not only does it take both Nicole's DNA and Maylin's DNA, but it blasts a nearby bowl full of candy corn with it, and turned one of those pieces into a living girl. At first it's fun, but then it gets dangerous and scary. So they finally write a message to fix everything again.
