Aoi Tategami and Makoto Kenzaki are two idols who have opposite personalities, with Aoi being the Passionate and Aggressive one, and Makoto being the Gentle and Demure one. Nevertheless, Aoi and Makoto formed an unlikely friendship that turns into sisterly bond. Despite the obstacles that may ruin their bonds, they continue to fight as Precures together and save the day. The duo recruits a group with Love Momozono, Saki Hyuuga, Nao Midorikawa, Rin Natsuki and Elena Amamiya, and they named it "Go Cheerful Crew". Not long after Go Cheerful Crew is recruited, Maiya, a goddess who came from the Music World, searches for Precures to help her stop her cousin Souta, who became the Demon King due to his jealousy. With Aoi, Makoto, and the rest of GCC Casts are up to the mission Maiya gave them, they must work together to stop Souta and his organization, the Warumo Squad. During this mission, the entire GCC Casts will deal with Momona Aose, Kousuke Aoba, and the two fairies: Mary and Angelo.

With Cutie Girls Squad formed, they encountered Celeste, the ruler of the Miracle Heart Kingdom. Celeste seeks help from them to save her world from her ex-friend Cadence, the Queen of Darkness, who fell from grace due to her greediness. While Kanade, Nodoka, Lala, and the rest of CGS Cast do their mission, they encounter Gabby Shiratori, Riku Ozora, and their fairy partners, namely Elijah and Liam. The whole CGS Casts must deal with the Yami Heart Gang, who works with Cadence.

This story is set in the same universe as Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but features mostly original characters. As reality shatters around him, Kai is thrown into the battle between realms and learns that Misty Hollow is a lot more than it seems.
