Max is a young boy constantly getting into trouble in school. After getting expelled and his family having to move yet again because of his anger, Max soon realizes that the house his family purchased wields a secret all of its own! Inside the attic is a magical cupboard that once locked, holds a portal into another world with the use of an amulet found in his step father's room. This world known as Katopia, is a magical world filled with cats containing magical powers. They are called The Magicats, the hidden peace keepers of the universe. Their goal is to protect the universe as well as Katopia from death and destruction. In this world and new cat body, Max and his new friends must learn discipline and the hidden power of friendship to conquer their biggest foe. A Fox named Cindy with darkness in her heart and magical powers as dangerous as they can get. Her thirst for power never stops! Neither do The Magicats!

The best friends trio are on their way back to Etheria until a simple mistake sets them on another path of discovery to the mythical planet of Eternia, home of the first ones. The planet is in turmoil and it is up to them to save it. What will the best friend squad find there? More importantly, what will Adora find there?
