Merlin's magic is revealed on a hunting trip with Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Merlin is chained but a storm strikes and the King and his knights are forced to camp out in a cave with their prisoner. Arthur doesn't take it well and Merlin pays the price. What happens when destiny breaks? Who's going to fix it? Eventual Mergana.

As per usual Merlin, Arthur and the gang get captured. But when things are looking grim, will Merlin get them out.

What if Merlin gave Arthur different advice and in turn Arthur made a different choice in S5E5: The Disir. Magic would have become accepted in Camelot early in season 5 and changed the entire course of the show. After some time, when the round table was just established and knights went out on patrols, they eventually start talking about events that have happened in Camelot so far. One day, some of them mentiones how Merlin always seems involved. Which is why Gwaine made it his mission to make Merlin the travel Cryptid. Why is he stealing dresses? How come he suspects someone of treason and the next day they find them dead with evidence of their treason around? After some time of this game called: connecting the dot's it becomes a thing. After a hunt gone wrong, the knights, Prince Arthur, and Merlin end up in the crystal cave, where Merlin realizes his true potential. Will he continue to be the cheerful servant we know and love, or will he turn into a warlock much more twisted... Basically I have a starting story that has different endings. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to write, so I just did both. One ending is dark Merlin and the other is just Merlin being himself. Hope you like it!!

A bandit attack on a hunting trip, Arthur finds out about Merlin's magic. How will he take it?

I loved the idea behind my 'Scars' chapter in my oneshot/headcanon book (although yes I know others have done it) so I decided to turn it into a book. Each chapter will be a different episode, there might be some chapters in the middle after hard hitting episodes (looking at you 'Lady of the Lake'). So yeah the first chapter is just that oneshot, then it goes onto the story. Obvi won't include Arthur's death but has good Mordred. Chapter uploads will be sporadic but I promise you I'm not giving up on this story

Merlin felt the golden light fade from his eyes as he looked to Arthur, who was standing mere meters away from him. He didn't even have to look at the King to feel the expression on his face. No sooner had he looked to the other man; Merlin had frozen on the spot. It was as if the world had stopped at their feet and that he and Arthur were the only two people standing in it. OR Merlin reveals his magic to save Arthur's life in the midst of a battle. Wracked with fear for Arthur, he runs away, and Arthur finds himself unable to let Merlin go.

When Merlin saves Arthur from falling to his doom with magic, Arthur is furious. Unable to kill him, the king banishes Merlin from the land and the young warlock leaves, abandoning his destiny. Morgana learns of all of this and decides that this is her time to attack. Camelot will be defenseless without Emrys. Can Merlin forgive his friends in time to save Albion and his destiny?

When Arthur discover Merlin's magic what will he do? This is a fan fiction where Merlin's magic is reveled to Arthur and he flees Camelot. Merlin finds a companion and faces many difficulties while he basically exiled himself. During his exile, he has to make a difficult decision. Will he give in to temptation and use his magic for evil, just like everyone thinks warlocks do or will he stay the same old Merlin that everyone loves? Arthur on the other hand is struggling on whether or not magic is actually bad and how he reacted to Merlin's magic. Not a ship fic, but if you want to view it that way go ahead. I started this when I was 13, and I'm positive my grammar has gotten way worse.

Merlin has always looked out for Arthur, no matter what. But at what cost? Because of his destiny he has given up almost everyone he holds dear to him to ensure that Albion is created. And whilst seeing Arthur succeed is a reward in and of itself, all that Merlin has gone through to get Arthur on the throne of Camelot is starting to catch up with him.
