Dinosaurs Before Dark, by Mary Pope Osborne... except that I rewrote it so that Jack and Annie are teenagers (16 and 17 rather than 7 and 8).
Why, you may ask? I have literally no idea, I was bored. But I think it's actually pretty decent, so hopefully all three of you that somehow find this like it too.
Basically, here's the premise: two siblings from Frog Creek, Pennsylvania, Jack and Annie Smith, stumble upon a treehouse in the woods near their house the summer before Jack leaves for college. When they climb up, they discover that it's full of books - and that when Jack offhandedly wishes to travel to the time period of a specific book, his wish is granted. They end up back in time 65 million years and have to survive long enough to get home while being chased by a T-rex.
Also I have no idea if it is, in fact, legal for me to be posting this, because it is literally the same story as the original book, just rewritten. If it actually is illegal please lmk and I will take it down (I rlly don't want to be sued!)
