She did spend a very long time, of being woken up periodically just to hear about how someone she loved had died in the past decade that went by in an instant for her... Now.. she just needs to figure out how to escape her android guard with a missing arm, and chains preventing easy movement! Not so hard, right? Who cares if the world is utterly terrifying, she keeps having mental breakdowns, monsters keep chasing her, and every moment she wants to curl up and cry? So what if theres horrifying abominations, things that would kill anyone else if they simply look at them, and inconsistent lighting? She's experienced worse. At least... Some part of her did. When I initially started writing The Acacia Complex, I had a different idea for what I wanted the character to be like and what I wanted the story to be about. I wrote and refined the first chapter, then wrote a couple more chapters before shelving it and starting fresh. Even though I decided to take it in a different direction, I wanted a record of an early version of this to exist.
