They become Internetfriends and slowly Alec starts to feel more for Magnus but knows that Magnus is not someone who would date someone.

Christmas is magical - that's what Magnus and Alec experienced this year. After a rough break up, both of them haven't talked for months, and yet their ways crossed at the big New York Christmas market. This is Malec Christmas one-shot!

I flinched as he shoved me down on my bed, throwing himself on top of me./ "Alec, please, wake up!" Alec sat up, knocking Magnus's hand over./ "No, no, I'm so sorry, Magnus," Alec hastened to say. "My name is Magnus," he introduced himself, gold eyes shining. "Magnus Lightwood." "I didn't know Maryse and Robert had another kid," Alec said, much more sharply than intended. "Adopted," he amended, shrugging one shoulder. "My parents-died. Years ago." Alexander is your average High Warlock of Brooklyn, but what is he to do when he meets an infuriatingly beautiful Shadowhunter with a clouded past, who lives with the family that kicked him out over a dozen years ago? Nothing at all--because Alexander certainly isn't gay, and absolutely not for a Shadowhunter. He has more important things to do.

Story is set after COLS. They broke up. Alec is distraught and feels that he's life isn't worth living. While Magnus isn't doing too well either. Alec is closeted from his family and has a lot of anxiety because of it. He's in love with a certain beautiful warlock and really doesn't want to worry him with his problems. He's hiding his sexuality from his family. He's hiding his anxiety from his boyfriend. Altogether he's just tired of hiding. What happens when Magnus introduces him to a mundane game called Truth or Dare on a rather romantic date together. What would happen if the only way to save Magnus was to do something he really was avoiding. Also lots of fluff, no serious smut though. One day Clary is sent to the Institute of New York for a unique assignment. Her task is to pose as a Clary Fray, a Shadowhunter whose entire family was killed in the uprising, little did anybody at the institute know, her family initiated the uprising. She is sent there with one mark. Jace Herondale, a boy who Valentine also experimented on but who was saved as a child and taken in at the Institute. Clary's sole mission is to infiltrate the Institute, get close to Jace, find out what he knows about The Circle, The Uprising and the experiments, and then simply take him out. To love is to destroy and to be loved is to be destroyed is what Clary has been brought up with her entire life, so what happens when Clary finds herself falling for her target? Read to find out...
