However Ethan doesn't get the chance to take the magpie to the vet the next morning. He's woken from his sleep that night by a sound in his kitchen, and it doesn't sound like a bird. What he finds in his kitchen will change his life forever. (This book isn't about love, it's about learning, growing and finding out just how much a person can take mentally. It's about innocence and being a human with problems, and trying to deal with them every single day)
