Every night, Shivi falls asleep in Kaliyuga-a world that has taught her more about loneliness than belonging. Every morning, she awakens in Hastinapura. A palace she has never visited... yet somehow feels like home. She remembers nothing of this world. Yet the palace remembers her. Krishna welcomes her as his little sister. The Pandavas become the brothers she never knew she needed. Draupadi becomes the sakhi who quietly understands the wounds Shivi never speaks aloud. Between laughter in the royal kitchens, playful quarrels, sword lessons, gardening with Krishna, and peaceful walks among the cows, Shivi slowly discovers a happiness she never believed she deserved. But every smile hides unanswered questions. Why does the palace remember a girl who remembers no one? Why do forgotten emotions awaken whenever she meets Ashwattha-a warrior whose eyes carry a sorrow older than memory itself? Some stories are about love. Some are about war. This is a story about finding home... even when your soul has forgotten where it belongs.

अन्तः अस्ति प्रारंभः। The end is the beginning. A caterpillar dies, to birth a butterfly. Water evaporates to rain down. Dead carcasses fill the stomachs of vultures.Life gives way to death and death to life. In a vicious circle of different karmas and janmas, a soul leaves a decaying body to move onto something better and livelier. But what if certain karmas are found hanging on the thin string between salvation and damnation? This is exactly where Mihira Ramnath Subhedar finds herself. The last of the many Kaliyugis, she was holding on to the narrowest beam that would lead her towards eternal the light, or so she thought. Poets were liars, she discovered when the end neared. There was nothing peaceful about death, no rest and no respite; just an ounce of faith which made her believe that she would finally find a place at the Lord's feet. But the ever merciful Leeladhari had discrete intents for such a soul that had just witnessed the end of the heinous yuga. "No, ain't Vaikuntha but Dvāpara. Good luck completing the unfinished business!" Walk along the aisle with Mihira while she embarks on the greatest pilgrimage of her rekindled life, witnesses the red of the Swastika being washed over by the red of vengeful blood and being swept off her feet by a man she'd never heard of.

"What choice are you talking about?" Those were the first words Rahu spoke when he woke up. Beaten. Bloodied. Alone. He didn't know yet that the answer would cost him everything. Rahu is nobody special. A boy who survived when he shouldn't have. A son who couldn't save his father. A leader who never wanted to lead. In a world where Dharma has been forgotten, where Ravana is worshipped and Krishna is a myth, he is just another man trying to hold together what little remains. But the dream won't leave him alone. A battlefield soaked in blood. Mountains of corpses stretching to the horizon. A figure so dark that light itself chooses to look away. And a voice that finds him every night in the dark - "I made my choice a mahayug ago. Now it's your turn." This is the story of Kalki - the tenth avatar of Vishnu, the destroyer of evil, the saviour of humanity. At least, that's what they want you to believe. Some stories are not what they appear. Some heroes are not who you think. And some choices - made in grief, in rage, in the quiet desperation of a man who just wanted to be enough - echo across yugas in ways nobody could have predicted.

The Mahabharata is an ancient Indian epic that narrates the intense rivalry between two branches of the Kuru dynasty: the Pandavas and the Kauravas. Central to the story is the Kurukshetra War, a monumental battle for the throne of Hastinapura. Interwoven with themes of duty, righteousness, and destiny, the epic delves deep into human nature and moral dilemmas. Notably, it encompasses the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred dialogue where Lord Krishna imparts spiritual wisdom to the warrior Arjuna. Beyond the main narrative, the Mahabharata offers a rich tapestry of subplots, philosophical discourses, and teachings that have profoundly influenced Indian culture and spirituality.

Sid just wanted to escape Shriya's complaints. Shriya just wanted to go home. And Saanvi? She probably just wished for some good sleep after a hectic month of pre boards. But fate AND a very suspicious auto driver seemed to have other plans. One moment, in Kali yug, these teens were dodging the dreadful question of "What next?" and in the next, they find themselves in Dwapar yug, dodging chariots, curses and confused Mahabharat warriors, all thanks to that one auto driver who casually asked, "Past or future?" and laughed when Saanvi sighed, "Past. I hate growing up anyway!" Now, the only way back home is by finding that auto, which is no longer "available for ride" on Ola or Uber, and has probably disappeared into another century for it's next ride! PS1: The first few chapters may be slow. So, kindly be patient until the characters meet the Mahabharata folks! PS2: The idea, setting, story, names and everything related to this book is totally fictional. Any resemblance is completely coincidental. This book is meant for laughs, step in to have some fun! :) © | Copyrights reserved @sssm2569

Here is my challenge for you: find all the answers to the riddles of this book in 1 or 2 hours. You can use more time if you need to. I advise you to do the challenge with friends. You can ask help to anybody. So far, nobody has been able to find all the answers to the riddles. Read the short stories which will give you insights on the motives of the murder and the actual victim. If you find the names in the stories a bit strange, it is because they are inspired by mythology. Please leave your feedbacks because they will enable me to enhance the first draft of this book. It will also give me motivation to carry on writing.
