For as long as anyone can remember, two realms have existed: the Realm of Mortals and the Realm of Magic. These realms once coexisted peacefully, but their harmony was shattered when Emperor Malvolio seized power and ruled the Realm of Magic with an iron fist. Enter Kai Lovegood, an average 14 year old boy who moved to Misty Hollow to live with his aunt after the death of his parents. Lonely, grieving and out of place in this quiet town, Kai finds it hard to adjust to his new environment and grows to hate the town and its oddities However, everything changes when he meets Farin, a mage who once worked for a group known as the Kamen General but is now rebelling against them. As reality shatters around him, Kai is thrown into the battle between realms and learns that Misty Hollow is a lot more than it seems.
