When she meets Thane Krios and he single-handedly assassinates three guards and Nassana Dantius before meeting her gaze, she realizes just how far she'll fall. (Kids in the Dark is the first book of The Dragon Commander series. It chronicles the events of Mass Effect 2, with a few references to the first game, along with references to Skyrim and the history of it.)
