The Mind - a collection of stories & facts related to mental health. I would love to share my experiences I gained & learnt while being a research assistant in the Psychiatry department. This field of mental health really makes me ponder upon so many things: patients' lives & their families, our community & the world we live in.

It's okay, everything's okay... But it's not. For Rain, nothing has ever been okay. As she passes through junior high and in to high school, life gets hard, everything hurts, even her thoughts. Sophomore year, her first year of REAL high school, will it change? Will he make it change?

Ever since Fumiko was two years old,her father made a promise to himself that Fumiko was going to be the perfect daughter for him and perfect wife for her future husband. Fumiko was taught from a very young age that her main goal & priority in life was to be a perfect daughter for her father and a perfect wife for her future husband.Her hair was always expected to be kept long,healthy,and shiny and it was never to be cut because short hair on a woman was considered "unladylike" and "ugly",according to her father. Fumiko was only allowed to wear dresses and skirts because any other form of clothing on a woman was considered to be "unladylike",a characteristic her father was completely against. She told misogynistic messages on a regular basis like her thoughts,feelings,and opinions don't matter nearly as much as her father's opinion and her future husband's opinion. Due to Fumiko's traumatic and misogynistic upbringing,she was blinded by what would soon be the biggest catalyst to a paradigm shift to her ingrained trauma and wanting to live for someone other than herself:Being a closeted lesbian and having strong romantic feelings for her best friend,Aiyana Richardson. Fumiko loved & cared about Aiyana more than herself and she wanted nothing more than for her to feel the same way.However,she can't have the girl of her dreams and the acceptance of her father as well.Fumiko must sacrifice one for the other and deal with whatever consequences that may come from it. Will Fumiko choose to live her own life instead of the one her father wants for her? Will Fumiko's love for Aiyana be enough to let her sacrifice the conditional acceptance of her father? Will Fumiko finally be able to live the life she wants as an uncloseted lesbian & by Aiyana's side and obtain her dreams of freedom?

That damn girl, this is all her fault... ______________________________________ St. Lee psychiatric hospital is a mental health unit that specializes in the treatment for teenagers with serious mental disorders such as bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, schizophrenia and more. But when it turns out that things at that hospital are not what they seem the patients together decide that they must escape. Can one very special in particular patient lead them out into the free world or can this patient bring all the others down. (THIS IS MY ORIGINAL BOOK! DO NOT STEAL!)

This is a compilation of all the notes I have written about the types of depression. In these notes, I will discuss the following things: -Diagnosis Criteria -Symptoms -Basic Information -Causes -Treatments Among other things. Still water. Murky. Stagnant. Full of mosquitos. There was a time in my life where I was still water. No matter how much I moved, I stayed stuck. Mud and darkness surrounding me. I felt like I couldn't breathe. Writing these poems helped me get through the toughest time of my life. I hope someone can relate to my thoughts.
