It's prohibition in Death City and conflict simmers beneath the surface. After hitting a wall, a preaching "shadow-in-the-night" leads her to the underground bar, "The Black Room". Set in a world without Meisters or Weapons, magic-less yet still-bizarre Death City meets 1920s prohibition. Maka Albarn wasn’t even that noticeable. Perhaps that’s why he came after her. Although, to be quite frank, he didn’t even threaten her. He lured her in like a trap. Perhaps this was why his jobs took forever. There would be monthly spans before the news shouted, “The Soul Eater Strikes Again!” or “New Victim has been eaten by Soul” or some other stupid thing like that. But Maka never believed that he was a terrible, no good, serial killer. She believed he went after the bad guys, as cute as that sounds. Soul “Eater” Evans the infamous killer who strikes at those when they least expect it. Except there’s a twist. He doesn’t just hunt for the hell of it. No, no. He hunts when he feels a darkness in someone. But that just wasn’t Maka. Soul didn’t have very much of a choice. The threats were always there. The guns were always pointed. Silence. Predict. Strike. As catchy as it was, his partner in crime “Black*Star” never followed the rules. Always yelling about God and shit. When a client wants Maka's soul to be ripped out of her body, can Soul do it?

Soul and Maka both join the same school, DWMA. Soul came in hopes of making friends and to conquer his fear. Maka came because her parents wanted her out of the house, and to keep the family secret, a secret. Will the paths of these two connect? Can the world depend on them?

Soul and Maka confess their feelings for each other and then they want to start a family together but not everything will be perfect, Maka changes a whole lot and Soul does too They end up meeting someone that Maka does not completely but they whine up liking Soul when they first meet him. As usual someone has to be jealous in the story, and that's Kid. He has always wanted Maka, but he does get a small chance with her sometime is the story. Soul and Maka have had a problem with the two people after them and they don't know if they should stay together or leave each other. (There will be smut on this Story)

La ragazza può infatti affermare con certezza che essi siano una sorta di maledizione di qualche strega sadica, e ne ha tutte le prove. A confermare ulteriormente la sua teoria c'è l'esito disastroso della sua serata: si ritrova infatti con dei piedi a pezzi, il morale a terra ed un partner che le rivolge le spalle ignorando completamente i suoi lamenti e le sue tacite richieste d'aiuto. E pensare che l'aveva anche avvertita, prima di uscire: "guarda che stavolta non ti faccio da bastone" le aveva intimato mentre, appoggiato allo stipite della porta, l'aveva osservata indossare le scomode scarpe. "Fatti i fatti tuoi" aveva gracchiato acidamente lei e l'albino, roteando gli occhi, "bene, anche stasera mi farò gli affari miei" aveva risposto. Chissà quanto starà godendo adesso nel vederla così sofferente e miserabile, quello stronzo. Dannato Soul, e dannati, dannatissimi tacchi.
