The Albarn Sisters, Maka and Y/N, were both born Scythe Meisters. Maka has her partner, Soul Eater Evans. And, Y/N has her partner, Jacs Meo. Due to their father, Spirit, stupidity (resulting him cheating on their mom), both Maka and Y/N promised to protect their hearts.
