Mia was just doing online Christmas shopping. She had no idea it could go so wrong.

After Kath's parents separated, things really got complicated. That's the time Kath chose to lock herself up in her own world. Her only window to the outside is an app called Meetup, an online platform designed to help people meet strangers from all around the globe. The app enables its users to chat anonymously . One night, Kath decided to go for it. With just a click away, she was paired to a random guy who's also from Manila. Kath learned that the guy's name is Miko, who is already nineteen and was working in a shop. They chatted for almost a month already. Now that Kath realizes that they have already established a relationship, she worries if she'll have the courage to meet him for real. Will Miko turn out to be the guy she's expecting him to be? or he's just one of the many--dangerous. All rights reserved 2019

An entry to the Globe makeITsafePH Writing Contest. This is my take on the third prompt: " Nakatanggap ka ng isang link mula sa iyong kaibigan kung saan maaari kang mag-download ng movies nang libre. Alam mong ang mga free movies na ito ay may malware na maaaring maka-infect sa iyong computer. Pinag-iisipan mong mabuti kung ipagpapatuloy mo ang pagda-download ng isang sikat na palabas na gustong-gusto mong panoorin. Magsulat ng isang fictional story mula 500-1,000 salita tungkol sa iyong pagkahilig sa movies at ang iyong magiging desisyon" I take that prompt in a larger and metaphor-like view with my opinions being personified and implied in the story.

A reminder that safety is based on how big is your perspective and common sense about something and someone. Once you've done something terrible not to yourself but to others too, it feels like you've committed implicit suicide. Trust is a big word wherein you should build high walls with transparency between you and someone that you'll be able to interact with because it might help you to see their true colors. He was my drug, he distracts me from my problems, he makes me happier and for a while I loved it. Until I didn't. * * * The internet is a wonderful yet terrifying place, meeting people from around the world and making friends, and even building an audience for youself. Joanna Ross is a simple 17 year old girl, naive but cautious and yet she still doesn't know what to do with her life. Her family had her plans thought out but the stress of it all burdens her which caused her to be closed off from others even more. One message from a guy she doesn't know and she's hooked, his humor, his cuteness and the way he viewed things made her intrigued. Weeks later they finally decided to meet, unfortunately it didn't sit well with Joanna. Was it worth it, meeting this boy who seemed nothing like the Thomas she spent her nights on? What else could this man be hiding? Who is he really? This masterpiece tackles the modern paradox, exposing the abyss of this so-called dimension of virtual galaxy where we can gather information and met some persons at the same time. But this is just the surface, dig down deeper and lets expose what lies behind the sphere of social media and unmasked each individual that tries to invade our world.

We had the right love at the wrong time. Yeah, a very familiar line from a song which really speaks what happened to me. Somethings disastrous but it was wonderfully ended, well, that's for me again. Someday, somewhere, maybe, our paths will cross again.
