Kion has just become the king of the tree of life alongside Rani and they begim to embark on new adventures together. But things begin to go awry when an old enemy of Rani's family comes to destroy their newfound happiness. Meanwhile, Qananii, a Kenyan Borana tribe girl leaves her village and goes into the tree of life. She has special abilities that guide her along the way one involving shape shifting. With it, she hides under the mask of a lioness to keep her home in the tree of life and to protect her friends. What will happen when these two worlds collide? Will Qananii be able to keep her secret?

After defeating Scar and restoring peace to both the Pride Lands and the Outlands, the battle has left Kion a scar across his left eye! What's worst of all, Kion's scar is a counterpart to Timothy's scar! So the Lion Guard go on a dangerous journey to a far away place called the Tree of Life. So Kion and Timothy can find the healing they need, before it's too late.

One day the Guard was patrolling and went to the Watering Hole because it was so hot out, when they get there a few moments passed and Kion gets bit by a snake and he gets horribly sick and possibly dying. The Guard goes on a journey to find the remedy, but while they are out there a teammate is the most worried about Kion out of them all: Fuli. She knew him as a cub and thinking about him getting taken away like that, it makes her sad and it doesn't help with the feelings she has for him. She tries to focus on the task ahead but she keeps thinking about their leader and wants to get back before it's too late. But what happens when they meet trouble along the way? Sometimes Ono can't help but wonder if Kion keeps him on the Lion Guard out of pity. With his eyesight diminished, the former Keenest of Sight begins to question his value. Is he still worthy to be on the Lion Guard, or would it be for the best if he just got lost? But he may be surprised to find he's not the only one who feels this way, and that sometimes, it takes the perspective of a friend to see one's true worth.

Kion was crowned king of the Tree of Life. Now Rani's mate, he must face the adjustments and tasks of being ruler of a kingdom. But as Rani slowly grows more distant, he must bear with this responsibility growing heavier on his shoulders until it becomes too much to bear...unless a certain friend can share it.

After retiring the Lion Guard, Kion found his new role in the Circle of Life: being king of the Tree of Life. Over time, he made new friends and found out things he never knew before in his life. But one day, something horrifying happened that would take away his honor of being king. The guard tried their best to prove that Kion was innocent, but nothing worked. Rani was depressed when seeing her mate leave the kingdom, but she knew it was the only way to keep him safe from 'the curse.' Outside of the kingdom, Kion befriend Nuru: a rogue lioness that was kicked out of her pride too. Soon enough, Kion became a prideless lion himself. Kion and Rani still cared and loved each other dearly, but an old curse was drifting them away from each other. Will things go back to normal? Read "We Drifted Away" to find out!

The Guard keeps growing restless meaning that they are too tired to help Kion when they have time. And a little love is gonna happen in this story as well, when the time is right Razor strikes. A long while ago before Kion's Lion Guard was made, Nala had a friend, a very close friend. This friend's name was Nirmala. After a forbidden romance, Nirmala was forced to leave her one true love. She became so embedded in grief that she gave up her only cub out of despair. Nala agreed to raise the cub as her own and tell everyone including the cub that she was it's mother. But somehow, Nala didn't think that the cub, Kion, would be better off living this lie. Until someone very close to him finds out the truth...
