Haru is a college freshman. he lives in a small apartment near the ocean. Each morning he goes down to buy mackerel. one day the fisherman selling the delectable food, tells Haru about a gay bar where the man's nephew works. Haru recognizes the name. He spends the day thinking about old friends and how he hadn't had any friends since then. Deciding to go to the club, Haru sees another old friend, dancing. (Note: in this story, Haru never gave up swimming. Also, Makoto went to a different high school so they were only friends in elementary and middle school. Everyone is the same age, 19. please enjoy the story!)

Makoto-although not very open about it, even to himself-likes Haruka, his best friend. He's somewhat disappointed in himself for liking another male, and even talks himself down about it quite a lot. He's not sure how to handle such a foreign feeling and quickly finds himself becoming anxious about it; not only around Haruka, but also around his other peers. Could it be an unrequited love?
