Byakuya wasn't particularly fond of him, and had bullied him since elementary school. A few days after hearing of his suicide, he starting having hallucinations of his passed classmate and starting to feel bad, for he knew it was his fault for his death. He acts as if Makoto were still alive, but doesn't tell anyone. He misses him.
