It always goes okay. Makoto can see his friend's spirit dying, and desperately tries to get him to leave him, falling for him in the promise, but Haru continues to live in this hostile environment. Rin finally snaps as he learns Haru kissed Makoto, and that was the most flowers Haru ever gotten.. at his funeral. Too bad he wasn't there to enjoy them
