Based on a true story. Hi, I'm Samantha. I met Gio in Malate in 2007. I was 19. He was 23. He didn't speak perfect English-but somehow, I understood him. He didn't say much, but when he looked at me... it felt like everything was said. I remember the nights-the loud streets of Malate, karaoke rooms, and moments that felt small but stayed with me the longest. I remember the night he came back holding a big teddy bear from Blue Magic, saying "I'm sorry" in the simplest way. We were in a long-distance relationship for 1 year and 2 months. Then, without a word, he disappeared for two months. One day, he suddenly called to surprised me, Gio was already in the Philippines. He stayed for a week, like nothing had changed. But after he went back to Korea... everything changed again. He became distant. Cold. And this time he never came back. In 2009, I went to Japan. I waited for months, hoping he would call. I even extended my visa, still holding on. But life moved forward. I met someone who knew my story and chose to stay. Five months later, he proposed. In 2010, I got married. My husband and Gio share the same age and the same birthday. And sometimes, on that day... I still remember him. Nineteen years later, I still have that teddy bear. This is not a perfect love story. It's about love, waiting, and learning how to let go. Because maybe... some people are not meant to stay. They are only meant to become a memory you carry with you wherever you go. "Some people are not meant to stay in your life... but they will always stay in your story."
