She's the epitome of skill and passion. Very quickly, she's established herself as one of the most exciting players on the scene. Nobody sane can deny her talent, but racism is always a factor that makes others think different. She's got a lot more obstacles to overcome because she's 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸, and it's not fair. An incident on the pitch involving her and another player introduces her to the whole world, Marcus Rashford included. And she's grateful, because once he becomes a part of her life, she forgets what it was like without him. ── 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐔𝐒 𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐃 is Manchester United's franchise player. You'd know it simply by looking at him, but speaking with him is different. He's humble, and his heart bleeds football. He simply can't live without it. That's why when he sees a women's player get subject to racial abuse by another player, he's completely thrown. Speaking to Kalani Sinclair everyday is like getting new life breathed into him. Maybe there's a reason life has dealt these cards. Sometimes, it takes something ugly to make way for something beautiful. Black history month was created to bring us out of the marginalized sections of the notebook and into the spotlight. Now we are in the spotlight. But continuing to celebrate Black History Month we're acting as if nothing has changed. Black history isn't something that happens once a year for a measely 28 or 29 days--depending on whether or not its a leap year. Black history is year-round. Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. His mother, Louise Norton Little, was a homemaker occupied with the family’s eight children. His father, Earl Little, was an outspoken Baptist minister and avid supporter of Black Nationalist leader Marcus Garvey. Earl’s civil rights activism prompted death threats from the white supremacist organization Black Legion, forcing the family to relocate twice before Malcolm’s fourth birthday. Regardless of the Little’s efforts to elude the Legion, in 1929, their Lansing, Michigan home was burned to the ground. Two years later, Earl’s body was found lying across the town’s trolley tracks. Police ruled both incidents as accidents, but the Littles were certain that members of the Black Legion were responsible. Louise suffered emotional breakdown several years after the death of her husband and was committed to a mental institution, while her children were split up among various foster homes and orphanages.
