Alec is the lead in the school musical and Magnus is the new kid. When Magnus meets Alec he expects him to be just another straight guy but he has never been more wrong in his life.

Magnus Bane decides that running a quiet coffee shop is a better idea than the loud nightclub Pandemonium, it just happens that it has the best coffee in Manhatten and Alec needs an escape when his parents come to town. Magnus is happy to let the young Shadowhunter hang out at his coffee shop for most the day and even starts to enjoy his company. When things go even more downhill than usual with his family and Alec opens up to the Warlock they start to grow closer, and it's totally just a coincidence if they run into each other at the Institute right? More importantly, his parents won't notice, will they?
