There was a whole war going on. The Dark War is what people call it. The Downworlders rebelled and now shadow hunters have to fight against them. So why did it hurt when Magnus and Alec fought against each other. They were enemies... or they were supposed to be. Why did it hurt Isabelle seeing Simon fight on the downworlders side? Why did it hurt for everyone with this war? This is an AU but theres still Mystical Stuff and romance with all the characters. Also Beth and Amelie don't read this you wouldnt understand. Born in the 1600's in the West Indies to a mundane family, Magnus grows up as your average, happy child. Little does he know that his birth father, Asmodeous, the king of hell, had cursed him with a horrible spell that would start at the age of 9. If he is angered or hurt in anyway his curse would break loose. He would erupt fire without meaning to and hurting anyone or anything in his path. When his mother finds out what his father had said when she had gotten pregnant was true. She kills herself immediately, terrified of what she had bore. His stepfather who abused him and his mother was killed on the spot when he triggered Magnus' powers, killing him instantly. This terrifies Magnus and he makes a promise he would never get close enough to a person to harm them anymore. So for the rest of his life he plans on staying barred up in the dark of his home. When one day someone comes along and changes his life for good.

After defeating Lilith and escaping Edom, the TMI gang finally returns to their common lifes in New York, ready to figure out different issues from demons, such as love. Magnus and Alec, for instance, were the perfect example of that brand new feeling that joined them. What they wasn't expecting was the sudden arrival to the Institute of a stranger that soon, would end that normality and tranquility, helplessly involving them into another adventure. Eruleum threatened them and they were about to experiment the coldness and somberness coming directly from that forgotten kingdom. Like the sun and the moon, Edom and Eruleum were nothing alike, yet sharing a close bond.
