Centuries ago, there were five founders of Hogwarts. The fifth, Valerie Virelion, was the most powerful of them all, her magic bound by dragon's breath. But her gift became her curse. Feared for her strength and the recklessness of her followers, her house was sealed away and her name erased from history.
Until now.
When 17 year old Valerie awakens in a world, the year is 1995 - and as the wizarding world denies the return of Voldemort, the Order of the Phoenix is rising once more. As darkness spreads, Dumbledore hides her true identity, passing her off as a transfer student. But as Valerie learns to live among the students, she begins to uncover the truth behind her return and the ancient magic that refuses to let her go. In the shadows of the mountains, lies a dragon waiting for its rider.
But the greatest threat isn't the magic hunting her.
It's him.
The son of the man she swore to destroy.
And the one she cannot seem to stay away from.

"And the worst part is, I think I'd tear this entire castle apart before I let anything happen to you."
"You are the most infuriating person I have ever met. You argue with me like you want a war, you look at me like you're waiting for me to become a monster-"
"Because you are one."
"Maybe," he said quietly. "But you're the first person who's ever made me care whether I am."
"Do you think I want this?" Valerie demanded "Do you think I enjoy the fact that somehow you're in every thought I have too? I should hate you, Riddle. You're arrogant, cruel, manipulative-every single thing I was taught to stay away from" Her voice dropped quieter then. "And somehow, despite all of that, you're still the first person I look for"
